Since first appearing in Che each and Chong's Next Movie, Pee- 1980 Herman Wee left an indelible mark on popular culture - and a large part of the character's key phrases. From laughing his famous "I know you have, but what I am? 'They quoted the audience -Wee Pee for decades now. As you would expect, many of these lines will be coming back and displayed in the big holidays Pee-Wee in the near future - but what may surprise you is how in the context of the line will be changed to make them fresh again, he said.
Now I had the pleasure of chatting with Mr. John Lee Director of big Hollywood Pee-Wee, and it was while discussing the features upcoming and an icon in the center of its own, which is the producer of this movie showed how he and his colleagues had to approach some of -Wee Pee most famous catchphrase. The idea boiled breaks in a way that is completely different than the way they say the past, breathing new life into them and make them funny for a whole new reason. Lee explained:
I think it's just a choice of aesthetics and style between Paul [Reuben] and I both agreed on. Many of his classic lines that I want him in a way he had never done them before. So it's like that, he said, "Why do not you marry it?" Which is the classic line, Pee-Wee, but he said he was depressed because his band just broken up with him. So someone was like, 'Oh, I love your cake Pee-Wee "because he is a chef and he was like [in a low voice key]" Why do not you marry it? "Just like" Get out of here. "Here in this place is a joke and they laugh. So, a lot of that out there that I hope people will notice, but I still think it's ridiculous.
Given that it's nearly 30 years since 1988's Big top Pee-Wee - The film features the final of characters - John Lee, could have easily just, Paul Reuben, offers some of the lines of classical in a way that would simply click the button nostalgia and make the audience smile, but he decided that he wanted to try something a bit competition more. He was only interested in a Pee Wee provide material - we have already heard, and want to give their fans something unexpected. Said Lee
It's not the same kind of humor, but it may be a bit more of a comment - comment letters, small 'c' - just on a character who he is and what you expect of him. That is subtly that people may be disappointed or not, I do not know, but to me, it's interesting options than just the kind of classic story reboot. I got nothing else, as opposed to allowing small to try something new or let put him in a mental place, that does not erase characters. It's more interesting and something more.
Consider how many comedy sequels managed to crap the bed by simply repeating each plug installation, this is a refreshing honesty. It's a confession from a situation where John, Lee, Paul Reuben and others who attended the opportunity to have a cake of them and eat it too, but if it works, it can function as a meta-commentary on the character really enjoy this.
