The development of new projects, both film and television work is not easy. In addition, to the innovative look for this piece, there are too many players and that can really make you dizzy. So, as you know, if you want these types of things, a while back, David Goyer and I made a deal with Warner Brothers to develop a movie adaptation of Neil Gaiman's SANDMAN. Neil came on as an executive producer, we have hired the perfect movie, Jack thorns, and we started on the ambitious task of adapting one of the most beloved titles, and boundary-pushing in the world of comics. I was pleased with the progress we made, although we still have a way to be true to go.
Currently, as you may know, if you want to follow these types of things, sorta "owner" (for lack of enjoyment better) of material Sandman changed hands when Warner Brothers has changed the catalog whole of comics Vertigo ( the imprint of Washington) to the company, its subsidiaries, the new line. And a few months ago, I realized that people in the new line, and I just do not see eye to eye on what makes Sandman, and what a film adaptation that could / should be. So, unfortunately, I have decided to remove himself from the project. I wish nothing but the best for moving forward.
I want to thank all the wonderful opportunity to work with me on this one. I had a blast and learned from David ton and Jack. Niija Kuykendall, Greg Silverman and everyone at Warner Brothers has been great as Geoff John and everyone at the Center. And it is a special privilege and a rocking good time getting to know Mr. Gaiman, understanding and charity work has convinced me that the Lord of dreams and the story of Prince and endless pattern.
Oh. Consider Joseph Gordon-Levitt was the mastermind behind the upcoming movie Sandman is very big news.
