It is a fairly well known at this point. In 1984, Steven Spielberg directed Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, while simultaneously producing Gremlin. Both movies have received PG. In both cases, unhappy parents came out really feel that the film is not really suitable for their children. The result is a brand new set in between parental guidance and restrictions, PG-13. A set up to point out that a movie might be acceptable for some minor, but not all.
It's easy enough to look at the history of the movie before 1984 and the search for the movie, which probably would have been classified PG-13 if there's ranking has been done in those days. What is more interesting, however, to look at the first years of this and know one thing: MPAA idea what to do with it. Here are eight movies that could have (and should have) been rated PG-13, but for some reason to get away with a PG simple.
Who frame Roger Rabbit
When Roger Rabbit Who frames the market, it has been focusing on children. What do you do, here's a film that has all of your favorite characters and your favorite Disney Toons Looney all in the same movie. But what Roger Rabbit is a lot of humor designed for adults. Jessica Rabbit is introduced as an object to be lusted over. innuendo barely concealed. Toon many smoking, drinking and swearing (happen). Toon was created by Judge Doom killed caldron bust.
Which is not a PG most: It's called tough between Buu pushed his hand between breast bunny Jessica's to find out "trap" and a statement of the baby, Mr. Herman, who said he was 'greed 50 years old and dinky three years old.'
